Flooding from the Carson River at Cradle Bough Bridge between Stephanie Lane and Plymouth Road forced the closure of Highway 395 in that area of Douglas County just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
At 8:30 p.m., sheriff's officers were still assessing whether traffic could safely be diverted to Jacks Valley Road and Foothill Drive, which had been plagued by mudslides and flooding throughout the day.
