Robert Douthit

Robert Douthit, 78, a 19-year resident of Carson City, died Feb. 8, 2006, in Las Vegas.

Mr. Douthit was born Dec. 23, 1927, in Albany, N.Y., to Arthur and Agnes Douthit.

Before moving to Carson City, he resided in Torrance, Calif.

He was a machinist for 50 years in the sheet-metal industry. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Chadwick.

Among his survivors are his daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and James Anderson of Las Vegas; son, Robby and daughters Lisa and Darlene Douthit, all of Carson City; brother, George Douthit of Reno; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation took place at Valley Funeral Home in Las Vegas.

Valley Funeral Home in Las Vegas is in charge of arrangements.
