Kids & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center will be holding its third annual pumpkin patch event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today. All proceeds go to benefit the nonprofit organization, which pairs physically and mentally disabled students with equine partners. Putting contest benefits Toys for Tots
Empire Ranch Golf Course is hosting a putting contest today to benefit Toys for Tots, the U.S. Marine Corps program that works to give underprivileged children toys for Christmas. All proceeds go to benefit the program. A two-person team costs $10, and there are 15 minutes of practice prior to tee off for $1 per person. There will be a shotgun start every hour starting at 10 a.m. and running to 1 p.m. Prizes have been donated by the golf course, Casino Fandango, the Carson Nugget, Tires Plus, the Atlantis, and Michael's Cycles.
