Ann Langer, running for Storey County District Attorney, led the pack by raising $8,200 this reporting period, and $9,650 overall, in her quest to unseat incumbent Harold Swafford.
Langer's largest contributors have been Clete Wandler, who gave $300 and Erickson Thorpe and Steve Wassner, who each gave $250.
Swafford had not yet filed his campaign reports by early Tuesday afternoon.
Sheriff's candidate Stephen Bloyd out-raised his opponent, incumbent Jim Miller, by $1,400 this reporting period. Bloyd received $2,200 in contributions, with his largest contribution being a $900 loan from Bill Smith of Virginia City. The Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs offered the largest nonloan contribution of $500, and Mike Krivitch, of Virginia City, donated $400. Bloyd has raised $7,097 overall.
Miller raised $800 this reporting period, with the largest donations coming from Clete Wandler, who gave $300 and the law firm of Thorndal, Armstrong, Delk, Balkenbush & Elsinger donating $250. Miller has raised $5,818.72 overall.
Storey County Commissioner John Flanagan has raised $800 in this reporting period in his bid for re-election, and $4,275 overall. His largest contributor has been the Carson Builders Political Action Committee, which donated $500.
His Democratic challenger, Carmen "Nick" Nicosia, has raised no funds this reporting period, and $2,205 overall. His largest contributors have been Tara Martin of Sun Valley, Idaho, Fritz Gran of Redwood City, Calif., and the Virginia City RV Park, each of whom gave $500.
Reporting no contributions are Storey County School Board of Trustees candidates Pamela Smith and Deny Dotson.
Canyon GID candidates Bret Tyler, Debbie Blackford and David Blackford, Marvin Clark, Edna Cudworth and Edward Gilbert also recorded no contributions, as did recorder/auditor candidate Sarah Jensen; and justice of the peace candidate Annette Daniels.
Craig Givant, candidate for clerk/treasurer, also recorded no contributions. His opponent, Lorraine Du Fresne had not submitted her forms by early Tuesday afternoon.
Candidates had until 5 p.m. to file at the office, or could file by mail as long as the filing was postmarked Tuesday.
