Galena boys easily beat Fallon

Print Comment
The Galena High boys basketball team couldn't have played much better defense in a 65-24 win over Fallon on Saturday at home.

Galena outscored Fallon 15-0 in the second quarter and 17-3 in the third quarter to take a 47-12 lead.

"We were pretty happy with our defense," said Galena coach Matt Kromberg in an understatement. "We tightened up.

Our subs came in and played really well in our zone. We were flying around getting some steals."

Luke Babbitt scored 14 points in limited action for Galena (16-9, 10-0 in the High Desert League). Babbitt scored 12 points in the first half. He hit just one field goal, but was 9-of-10 from the foul line. Brice Crook added 11 points for the Grizzlies.
