GMCPro-Grade event at CCGC

Capitol City Gun Club and Michael Hohl GMC will present the ATA Registered GMC Pro-Grade Challenge.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 7. Prize money will be awarded. Event one will begin at 9 a.m. and will have 100 16-yard targets for classes AA, A, B, C, D. Targets will be $27, Lewis purse will be $5 and class purse hi-gun will be $10.

Event two will be 100 handicap targets wil three yardage groups, 19-21, 22-24, 25-27. Targets will be $27, Lewis pursh will be $5, Group purse hi-gun will be $20 and Perfect 50s option will be $15.

Event three will be 100 double targets for three classes, A, B, C. Targets will be $27, Lewis purse will be $5 and class purse hi-gun will be $10.

Capital City Gun Club reserves the right to change all or any part of the program at any time.

A minimum of three shooters per class is required for a class trophy to be awarded. Classes with fewer than three shooters will be combined with the next highest class.

Junior, Women's, veterans and senior veterans category winners must shoot 200 targets (100 singles and best handicap or doubles). HOA must shoot 300 targets.

ATA rules will be followed and all scores will become part of the official records. $2.00 ATA fees and $3.00 NSTA fees will be collected daily. Anyone disturbing the harmony of this shoot and/or interfering in its operation in any way will be asked to leave the grounds.

Every ATA-registered tournament entry is automatically entered in the November 7 drawing for a 2008 GMC vehicle worth approximately $44,000. Those who shoot more often increase their chances for winning.

As part of the ATA's new fund raising program for the 2007 target year, drawing tickets can be purchased for $5 to win a 2008 GMC Sierra in an August 17 drawing. Other prizes include:

Beretta 391 Urika semi-auto trap shotgun; Remington 870 trap shotgun;10 flats Remington/Winchester ammunitio; ATA life membership; $150 ATA gift certificate

BAWN sets clay shoot onMarch 31

The third annual BAWN Sporting Clay Shoot, a benefit for the Edd P. Furgerson Memorial Scholarship Fund for Western Nevada Community College's Construction Trades Program, will take place Saturday, March 31 at the Capitol City Gun Club.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the clay shoot beginning at 10 am. A barbeque lunch will follow with prizes awarded to the top three teams of five shooters each as well as an award to the overall individual winner or "Top Gun."

The entry fee of $100 per person or $500 per team includes 100 rounds of ammunition and the barbeque lunch. Capitol City Gun Club is located at 3850 Arrowhead Drive in Carson City.
