Byron Kreck and Karysa Perez of the Carson-Douglas Rodeo Club both had outstanding efforts at the Silver State International Rodeo which concluded this past weekend in Fallon.
Those who placed fifth through 10th at the Nevada High School Rodeo Finals qualified for the Silver State event. There were almost 500 competitors in this year's Silver State event.
Kreck was 34th out of 122 participants in calf roping and was 10th in boys cutting. Perez finished as the third runner-up in the queen contest and was 16th in pole bending.
