Carson/Douglas rodeo team has strong effort

The Carson/Douglas Rodeo Club kicked off the rodeo season with several impressive finishes in Ely this past weekend.

The cutters had a strong showing with Jonothan Glocknitzer placing fourth at Friday's go-round and third on Saturday in the boys cutting.

Byron Kreck placed fifth on Friday and tied for fourth on Saturday in boys cutting, scoring a 66 and 70 respectivley.

Karysa Perez placed fourth in girls cutting, scoring a 69 on Saturday.

In the rough stock events Cory Hershkowitz placed second on Saturday in bareback. Hershkowitz is also a member of the Wrangler All Star Team.

Elyse Heberger placed sixth in poles on Friday and seventh on Saturday. She placed 10th in barrels on Friday while competing in a snow storm.
