Elyse Heberger took away two first place finishes to lead another strong showing by the Carson/Douglas Rodeo Club this past weekend at a Nevada State High School rodeo in Alamo.
Heberger won the goat tying in Saturday's go-round and had a sensational time of 2.6 seconds to win the breakaway roping on Sunday. Also for Carson, in girls cutting, Karysa Perez placed second on Saturday with a score of 72 and fourth on Sunday. She also placed 10th in goat tying on Sunday.
In boys cutting, Byron Kreck placed fifth on Saturday and Sunday while Cory Hershowitz place second in bareback riding.
