Dolores 'Dee' Rhodes

A memorial service for Dolores "Dee" Rhodes, 77, a 14-year Carson City resident, will be 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church at Mountain and Bath streets.

Mrs. Rhodes died March 23, 2007, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Newark, N.J., to Richard and Margaret Hoare.

She married Robert E. Rhodes in 1952, in Newark.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Rhodes lived in Panorama City, Calif.

She was a high school graduate and a secretary.

She belonged to the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by brothers Richard Hoare in 2001 and Edward Hoare in 1997, and by sister Margaret Berhinger in 1984.

Among her survivors are her husband; children Robert R. Rhodes, Elaine Rhodes, Mary Anne Rey and Michael L. Rhodes; sisters Anne Bogdanski and Teresa LaFleur; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory. Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Missionary Fund or the National Cancer Society.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
