In Loving Memory of William Parshall Brush

William "Bill" Brush passed away in Reno on February 21, 2008 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 82 years old. Born in Syracuse, New York December 13, 1925, Bill and his parents settled in Carson City in the mid 1930’s. Bill spent the majority of his life and his professional career in Southern California before moving to Reno in the early 1980’s. Bill always considered Northern Nevada and its beautiful mountains his home.

Bill served in the United States Navy during WWII and in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Bill was very active in the Reno community and volunteered many hours in various positions for the Reno Rodeo as well as the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Community Outreach Committee, to name a few.

He is survived by his daughters, Suzanne Kirby (Russell), Bridgette Nevins (Timothy); His Sons, Brent Brush, Braden Brush (Ana); His Grandchildren, Jason Nevins, Elizabeth Nevins, and his long time companion Marillyn Glynn.

At Bill’s request there will be no memorial services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nevada Humane Society, 2825 Longley Lane, Reno, NV 89502.
