Carson City

Carson City Aquatic Facility spring break hours

The Carson City Aquatic Facility will be open weekday afternoons, evenings and Saturdays for recreational swimming Saturday through March 30. For information, call 887-2242 or stop by the pool, 841 N. Roop St.



Ostomy support group to meet

The Kangaroo Gang, an ostomy education support group will host a special session 4 p.m., today at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Resource Center. 1535 Medical Parkway.

This session will feature exercises for ostomates, Medicare information, educational program and resources plus an in-depth review of products that will fit your special need. Refreshments provided by Coloplast, Inc. For information, call 781-1079.



Chamber of Commerce hosts Easter-themed mixer

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce March Mixer will be 5 p.m., today at the Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, 801 S Carson St. Join the fun, have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny. For information, call 882-1565.

Native American storyteller at Carson City Library

Carson City Library will host Native American storyteller and historian Joe Bryan (JB) 7 p.m., today in the library auditorium. JB will present a lecture on the lifestyles and culture of the Washoe tribe in Nevada and California.

Douglas County

Free workshop on caregiving

The Nevada Care Connection will present a free four hour workshop on caregiving 1-6 p.m., Thursday at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville.
