MOSES LAKE, Wash. — An out-of-work Moses Lake electrician has pleaded innocent to first-degree manslaughter in the beating of his girlfriend.

Forty-eight-year-old William M. Creek, 48, said only, “not guilty, your honor,” during a brief appearance Monday in Grant County Superior Court.

On the same day, a funeral service was held in Carson City, for his girlfriend, 39-year-old Elizabeth D. Bouvier.

She died of head injuries at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane on March 2, a day after Creek reportedly attacked her in his pickup truck.
