Performing Arts presents 'Copacabana' musical

"Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl ... " That's the unforgettable opening lyric of Barry Manilow's Grammy Award winning hit song, "Copacabana."

"Copacabana" plays at 7:30 p.m. April 5, 11-12 and at 2 p.m. April 6 and 13 at the Carson Community Center. Tickets are available at the door and at boxoffice@carson.K12.nv.us. Pre-sale ticket prices are $9 for general admission, $7 for children and students (with a Student Body Card) and $8 for seniors and students. Methodist women plan rummage sale

The United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church will hold their annual rummage sale from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. April 5 at the church, 412 W. Musser St.

Items for sale include clothes, toys, shoes, books, small electrical appliances, personal and miscellaneous household items.

The United Methodist Women are a nonprofit organization. Proceeds benefit various mission projects. For information, call 883-4068.

Eldorado presents 'FloorPlay'

This new production of "FloorPlay" includes Burn The Floor's award-winning troupe of 20 international performers with dancers from America's hit TV shows "Dancing With the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance."

Brew Brothers offers bands schedule

The Brew Brothers at the Eldorado dips into spring, serving up the perfect party mix of ice cold brews and live rock bands. Enjoy a high- energy party and rich micro brews starting at 10 p.m. nightly for $5 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Steel Breeze brings their high energy performance April 1-6.

Atomika rocks the brew pub April 7-13 with the hits of the '80s, '90s and today. Popular regional band, "Left of Centre" takes the stage April 14-20. Left of Centre is a well-seasoned group that is no stranger to the live crowds. Audio Boxx follows, hitting the pub with a live rock performance April 21-27. Rounding out the month and heading into May is Alias, performing top 40 hits. The Brew Brothers is open daily from 11:30 a.m. Monday-Sunday.
