Tonopah has a scandal. "It seems that the master of a house in this city had long doubted the fidelity of his better half and, wishing to assure himself, left ostensibly on a trip to one of the adjoining camps. Where he spent the day is not known, but that night, upon entering his home, he found wifey in a very intoxicated condition, scantily attired and entertaining a male friend in a condition and attire to match. The male friend made a hurried exit through the window, not waiting to dress himself properly, and in the morning took a train for San Francisco."

Frank M. Parcher has received authorization to assign enrollees in Indian OCC work to assist Mr. Sumner of Stanford University on a comprehensive survey of the Pyramid Lake and Truckee River to see if it is possible to save fish in the lake. The survey is hoped to halt the alarming decrease in the number of Pyramid Lake trout.

The Sierra Club has set the outdoor schedule for this Spring. Hikes, rock climbing, skiing, backpack and auto trips are some of the outdoor events to be planned by the Toiyabe Chapter of the Sierra Club.

Ninth-grade students Zachary Thomas, Kasey Doescher, Kent Grisemer, Jennifer Gilbert, Laurie Davis, Meidi Ayarbe, Sarah Hartman, Gary Todd, Tracy Koontz, Cindy Byers, David Gutzman, John Hanna, Jennifer Troy, Mike Greaney, Stacey Byrd and Jennifer Steffan were some of the Carson City Junior High School students on the academic honor roll for the first semester.

All manufactured homes will now be taxed as real property in Lyon County. After July 1 all homes coming into the county will be declared real property before an installation permit will be issued.
