Authorities are responding to a report of a green bag left unattended in a parking garage at the Horizon just two hours after determining a suitcase left abandoned next to Harveys casino in Stateline was empty.

The parking garage at the Horizon Casino has now been closed down following the second report of a suspicious bag in three hours.

The green garment bag was found on the second floor of the garage by security officers. The bag is described as 2 feet square and 4-6 inches thick.

The report came in at 1:35 p.m. The Tahoe-Douglas Bomb Squad has been called out to investigate the suitcase.

Earlier today, Stateline Avenue was closed between 10:30 a.m. and 11:49 a.m. while the bomb squad investigated a bag left near Harvey’s Casino in Stateline.

At about 11:50 this morning, the suitcase was determined to be empty, Halsey said.
