Karysa Perez, a member of the Carson Douglas High School Rodeo Team, spent last weekend at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Logandale competing in the Miss Rodeo Nevada Teen Contest.
As the winner, Karysa will represent the PRCA as the new Miss Rodeo Nevada Teen 2008.
She competed for the title over three days in a competition spread out over Henderson, Mesquite and Logandale. She won horsemanship, speech, modeling, personality and photogenic.
Karysa looks forward to completing this high school rodeo season and competing for the Nevada State High School Rodeo Queen title at the state finals in June at the Winnemucca Events Center.
Currently, Karysa is ranked 6th in the Girl's Cutting in high school rodeo.
