Weekend weather outlook for Carson City; road report

Today’s weather will be sunny with highs 65-75 with southwest winds around 10 mph increasing to 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, breezy and partly cloudy with lows 37-47 and southwest winds 15-25 mph decreasing to 10-15 mph after midnight with gusts up to 40 mph.

Saturday will be windy and mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and areas of blowing dust. Highs 50-60 with southwest winds 15-25 mph increasing to 25-35 mph in the afternoon with gusts up to 50 mph.

Saturday night will be very windy with southwest winds 25-35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph becoming west 10-20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph after midnight. Mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers with lows 20-30.

Sunday, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers with highs 40-50 and west winds 10-15 mph.



The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6:15 a.m. reports all routes open Northern Nevada with no controls.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Edmonds, and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.
