Calvary Chapel holds first service in new church

Calvary Chapel Carson City, 1635 Clearview Drive, will hold its first service in the new church at 10 a.m. Sunday, with special recognition to Mother's Day.

The church will hold a special dedication ceremony in June.

The 10 a.m. service is the only service scheduled. On May 18, the church will resume its regular schedule of Sunday worship at 9 and 11 a.m., each service includes children's ministry; 7 p.m. Wednesday service; junior and senior high youth groups at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and men's and women's Bible studies.

Mothers honored at First Christian Church

First Christian Church will hold services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday with mothers to be honored at each service.

The church, which meets at 2211 Mouton Drive, also has Bible school at 9:30 a.m. Sundays and evening worship at 6.
