Joan Elizabeth Arnold, 79, a resident of Carson City for 16 years, passed away May 5, 2008. Joan was born October 12, 1928, in Batavia, New York to Isaac and Mary Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years George W. Arnold.

They are survived by three children, JoAnn Rolling of Johnson City, Tenn., Eileen Jouthas of Lafayette, Calif. and John Arnold of Louisville, Ky.; as well as six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Carol.

Joan was an accounting supervisor with Sears for twenty-six years. She loved her family, reading, gambling and watching Oakland A’s baseball with her husband. As a young woman she was an accomplished singer.

A private memorial service will be held. The family of Joan Arnold would like to extend a very special thank you to Home Instead and Saint Mary’s Hospice of Northern Nevada. She was cared for by many and we appreciate them all.
