Gloria Barbara Meyers, born in Germantown, Pa. was transported to Heaven on May 10, 2008 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Her life was shared with her loving husband Tony for 60 years. She is survived by her husband Tony; three children, Cheryl Meyers, Anthony Wayne Meyers Jr. of Gardnerville and Barbara L. Meyers of Carlsbad, Calif. She has six wonderful grandchildren, Rebecca, Rena, Corinn, Allison, Tony and Adam. She also has six great-grandchildren, Brianna Aidan, Rio, Angelina Issak and Magdelena. She is survived by her two sisters, Natalie and Edith. She was so loved and respected by all with a multitude of relatives and friends who will miss her.

Gloria lived in Carson Valley for 10 years and over the years was an active member of the Carson Valley Swim Club, the Carson Valley Historical Society and the Women’s Council Group of St. Gall’s Church.

The rosary will be 5 p.m., Thursday at Autumn Funerals and Cremations in Carson City. Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gall’s Catholic Church in Gardnerville. In lieu of flower please donate to the City of Hope for cancer research.
