Tory was born May 20, 1980 in Dallas, Texas. Her early life was spent there and at Lake Tahoe, Calif. until age 5 when the family moved to Minden. She was to live and love the rest of her days in Washoe Valley and Carson Valley. Graduating from Douglas High School in 1998, Tory went on to Northern Nevada Beauty College in 2002. Her true calling, however, was in animal care and breeding. From early life, Tory showed great interest in and affinity for training, raising and grooming cats and dogs. Never giving up her dream of a successful business, Tory worked diligently with animals domestic and exotic. Her greatest passion though was always her family and friends, particularly her wonderful daughters. Tory's loving, vivacious and tender nature will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind her husband Todd, and four daughters; Mariah, Lauren, Abigail, and Haley. Tory is also survived by her mother Colleen (Albert) Thomas; father Ronald Miller; brothers William (Elizabeth) Kimball, Shawn (Emily) Kimball and Dallas Miller; sister Evelyn Miller.

To honor Tory's life, a memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, at Connected Church, 2814 N. Carson Street. The service is open to all.
