Santa Claus announced Friday that he is running as a write-in candidate for president of the United States.
A week ago, Incline’s Santa Claus warned presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama to respond to his YouTube question about children’s rights before he took matters into his own hands.
Friday, after not receiving a response from either campaign, Claus announced that he would run as a write-in candidate for president of the United States in about 30 states.
“I am running for president against senators Obama and McCain primarily because they have consistently failed to address issues that affect the 2 million children in the United States who are abused, neglected, exploited, abandoned, homeless and institutionalized through no fault of their own,” he said in his announcement.
Claus said he would not take any campaign donations and plans to spread the word through free media.
