Yvonne Mae Nagel

Yvonne Mae Nagel passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on August 28, 2008. She was born to Arnold and Clara Odermatt on September 25, 1929 in Carson City.

She is survived by her husband, William L. Nagel with whom she shared 60 loving years. Also surviving are her children Kathy, Bob, Bill (Nancy) and her three wonderful grandchildren Emily, Christopher and David.

Yvonne was a past Matron of the Eastern Star Order. She was an avid hiker and snowshoer and traveled with her friends throughout her beautiful Nevada mountains.

At Yvonne’s request, there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6 at Bill and Yvonne’s home for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations in Yvonne’s memory may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.

A special thanks to Edie Williams, Yvonne’s loving caregiver for the past 18 months and to St. Mary’s Hospice for their compassionate care and concern for Yvonne and our family.

Walton’s Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
