The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada is looking for a new logo and branding "tag line"/subtitle. The deadline for entries is Wednesday, Oct. 1. $100 first prize, top five suggestions will earn cash prizes. The McCain-Palin '08 Victory office is open 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday-Friday, 1933 California St. Several volunteer opportunities have been set up with Catholic's Coalition, Hispanic's Coalition, Small Business Owners, Sportsman's Coalition, Veterans for McCain, Women's Night (Football Widow Night Mondays), Youth for McCain. Virginia City's World Championship Outhouse Races will kick off with an outhouse parade, noon, Saturday, Oct. 4, on C Street, followed by a race every half hour. Race finals will start at noon, Sunday, Oct. 4. For the first time a "Ladies Only" race will be held.
