Mary Jo Brummer, CRS, a Realtor with RE/MAX Realty Affiliates in Carson City, has been awarded the Star Award for outstanding service to the Sierra Nevada Board of Realtors. This award was presented by Bill Driscoll, board president, Genoa Lakes Golf Club and Resort, at the annual Board of Realtors Installation Dinner. Brummer chaired the Awards Committee for the Board of Realtors for 2008.

• Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada, Carson City. Dedicated to providing “edutainment” to children and families, The Children’s Museum provides exhibits and programs that focus on the arts, sciences, and humanities.
• Las Vegas Neon Museum. Dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying, and exhibiting neon signs and associated artifacts.
• Nevada Northern Railway Museum, Ely. America’s best preserved short line and complete rail facility.
The winning landmark for each state will be announced on Dec. 5.

Ride JAC to South Lake Tahoe
(Staff Reports) — Riders can take free bus trips from Carson City to South Lake Tahoe next week as part of the city’s busy new service.
The free rides of Route 21X - Spooner Express will run through Nov. 29 under an agreement between Carson City’s bus service, Jump Around Carson (JAC), and the South Lake Area Transit Authority’s bus service, BlueGO.
