Campers, trailers prohibited through Washoe Valley



The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:58 a.m. Highway 395 is open and a high wind warning has been issued.

Campers and trailers are prohibited for 6.2 miles between Lakeview Drive in Carson City and 1.6 miles south of the Chocolate Factory in Washoe Valley.



Weather for the Carson City area will be partly cloudy in the morning becoming sunny. Highs 49-59 with southwest winds 10-15 mph shifting to the northwest in the afternoon with gusts up to 30 mph, except local gusts to 40 mph this morning in wind-prone areas.

Tonight, clear with lows 19-29 with north winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Wednesday, sunny with highs 45-55 with light winds.



Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays. Fairview Drive, westbound, is now open from Saliman Road to Roop Street. However, there is continued work on Fairview Drive from South Edmonds to South Carson Street with lane closures and possible delays.

Lane closures are in effect on the west end of Fairview Drive.

Road work continues on Highway 50 from Saliman to Airport roads.

Work continues also on East Fifth Street from Fairview Drive to Saliman Road.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted lower speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
