March 8 is Bible Day for third-graders at First Presbyterian Church in the youth group.
Third-graders Samantha Berger, Christopher Cunningham, Aleyna Gilson and Morgan Weddell will receive their Bibles from the church. Elementary youth will share a verse they’ve learned with the congregation.
The church, at the corner of West King and South Division streets is collecting Food for Thought. Donations of non-perishable food items may be left in the barrel in the narthex.
The Desert Schooners of First Presbyterian Church meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in the Fellowship Hall.
Guest speaker is Gail Aldrich, who will talk about AARP, it’s history, current focus and her role as member of the board of directors.
