OBITUARY: Doris Day Sapp

Doris Day Sapp, 90, of Gardnerville, died at home Sept. 23, 2009. She was born on Oct. 9, 1918, in Joplin, Mont., to Edward and Grace Day. She is survived by her husband Allan; son Allan D. Sapp and his wife P.J. Sapp, of Gardnerville; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 in the Gail Day Chapel at the University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma, Wash. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Sapp's name to the University of Puget Sound, the Barton Foundation (hospice) or Cottey College.
