WINNEMUCCA, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol says one teenager was killed and another was injured when their vehicle drifted off Interstate 80 and rolled over.
Investigators say 18-year-old Justin M. Berg of Winnemucca was driving a Jeep Cherokee when the accident happened around 7 p.m. Monday.
Berg was pronounced dead at the scene 30 miles east of Lovelock.
The patrol says his passenger, 18-year-old Patrick R. Fitzgerald of Winnemucca, was taken to Pershing County General Hospital in Lovelock with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
