Pitching in to help those in need



Volunteer Taylor Allen tosses a frozen turkey into a freezer trailer Wednesday afternoon at the 11th annual Turkey Roundup at Mike's Pharmacy. The Salvation Army collected more than 340 turkeys and more than $10,300. It also purchased 400 turkeys earlier this week. Donations support the Salvation Army and other area charitable organizations helping those in need during the holidays. The Salvation Army is still seeking walk-in donations at its 661 Colorado St., location between 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. For more information call 887-9120.
