Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Paula Marie Snow, 45, a state Department of Child and Family Services worker from Mound House, was arrested at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of gross misdemeanor child endangerment, misdemeanor driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving without insurance. Her 10-year-old daughter was allegedly in the vehicle. Bail was set at $4,364.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• A woman on Woodside Drive reported at 2:17 p.m. her neighbor keyed her car.

• Report of $230 stolen from a home on Ridgefield Drive by an unknown person before 6:19 p.m.

• Report of cash and jewelry stolen from a home on Gillis Way sometime before 8:53 p.m.

• Employees fought with a shoplifter at Safeway at 10:27 p.m. The shoplifter, a 20-year-old unemployed and intoxicated man, was arrested.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• A woman reported that after she argued with her boyfriend, he took off driving “like an idiot” and almost hit her on Main Street in Fernley at

2:13 a.m.

• Report of a 15-year-old girl beat up after school in Fernley.

• Request at 6:21 p.m. for a welfare check on a Mound House woman possibly leaving her 10-year-old daughter with “inappropriate caregivers” in her “filthy home.”
