RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nevada starting wide receiver Brandon Wimberly has been released from the hospital after being shot and seriously wounded during a fight in Reno last month.
The 22-year-old Wimberly is recovering at home in Gardena, Calif., after being released from the hospital last week.
Wimberly, who would have been a junior this fall, was shot following a June 18 fight between several Wolf Pack football players and another group. Police are still searching for a suspect.
He underwent surgery to repair his intestines and colon, and it remains unclear whether he will be able to play football …
