COMMUNITY: Fly tying classes scheduled

The Carson Fly Fishing Club is beginning a basic fly tying class on March 5, 9, 12, 16, 26 and 30 at 7 p.m. in the Ormsby Room in the Carson City Sheriff's Office, at 911 E. Musser St.

The purpose of the class is to learn basic techniques of tying different flies. No experience necessary. The flies for this class will be wooly worm, muskrat nymph, zug bug, elk hair caddis, royal wulff and hopper.

Stan Zuber has been tying flies for more than 25 years. He learned to tie flies while being a member of the Aguabonita Flyfishers …
