Carson City Library Director Sara Jones was named the Nevada Library Association’s 2012 librarian of the year at the association’s annual conference held last week in Las Vegas.While the award focused on her last six years as director of Carson City’s library system, Jones’ career spans more than 25 years, including a stint as state librarian during the Kenny Guinn administration.The award specifically cited Jones’ leadership and fiscal management.
