A predawn check of a suspicious vehicle with a juvenile and a woman sleeping inside led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Silver Springs man in connection with a rash of unlocked vehicle burglaries on the northwest side of Carson City.The car in which the two were sleeping early Monday had numerous items that were allegedly stolen, including a camera, credit cards and check books, according to the arrest report.Detectives later determined that Samuel Mendoza had been with the two found in the car, and called him in for questioning at the sheriff's office.
