More than 1,800 Carson voters hit the polls on the last day of early voting on Friday. The 1,837 voters pushed Carson's total to 14,258 for the early voting period. Adding in the 2,099 absentee ballots counted to date and 16,357 of Carson's 25,747 active voters (63.5) have already voted. Statewide, half of active Nevada voters have already cast ballots during early voting in advance of Tuesday's general election.In 2008, 56.23 percent of voters (14,610) early voted.
