WNC News & Notes: Watercolor exhibit offers vivid colors, healing images

Reno artists Penny Pemberton and Carol J. Neel present their own interpretations of life’s experiences and methods of healing in a watercolor exhibit, “Journeys: Masked, Poured & Reduced,” at Western Nevada College Carson City. The exhibit continues through Jan. 25, in the College Gallery. Pemberton and Neel are award-winning artists who work in watercolor and printmaking. They both also had health care careers. Pemberton was born and raised in Yerington, and became a pediatrician who practiced in Northern Nevada for 30 years. Neel was raised in Southern California, and worked in nearly all areas of medical-surgical nursing, and nurse education. …
