As Veterans Day approaches, so do a flurry of events to honor veterans for their service.Veterans Day is officially recognized on Sunday, Nov. 11. The first Veterans event is at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at Carson High School in Senator's Square. The Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps will end their ceremony at 10:30 and will recognize veterans from different wars. The cadets are expanding a special invitation to Blue and Gold Star Mothers, mothers who have or had a child in the military.Refreshments after the ceremony will be offered by the Carson High School culinary class.
