Get Healthy: Prevent carbon monoxide poisoning in your home

This column appears in the Nevada Appeal Wednesday health pages. It addresses topics related to the health of our community.As the weather cools in Carson City, more people are using furnaces and fires to heat their homes. Carson City Health and Human Services and the Carson City Fire Department would like to remind everyone of the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, and present some strategies for keeping your family safe this winter.
