Shakespeare Animal Fund sets fundraiser

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno is the setting November 30th, beginning at 6:00 pm, for a holiday fundraiser to benefit Shakespeare Animal Fund. Not only will there be the signature fabulous silent auction (in time for Christmas shopping), great food and lively music, there will also be a hot fudge sundae station for kids, a pet photo contest (with celebrity judges to be announced), a face painte,r magicians and the jolly old elf Santa Claus.All proceeds will go to benefit Shakespeare Animal Fund, a local 5013 non-profit that pays emergency veterinary bills for elderly, disabled and other low income individuals.Surprises this year include prizes for pet photos (cutest, sweetest, scariest, looks-most-like-owner) with celebrity judges for the contest, and a great raffle item to be raffled at the end of the evening.Voted a favorite charity by the Rachel Ray Foundation, endorsed by Comic Relief and Ellen DeGeneres, Shakespeare has given out more than $275,000 in the area, and relies on this event to raise the funds necessary to do what they do best, stop the suffering of local animals.For more information or to buy tickets ($25 in advance, $30 at door, & kids under 12 years $7) please call Jennifer Webb at 232-7753 or email her at: theshakefund@aol.com.
