PREPS: Lehman sparks Carson to win

Behind 14 points from Lindy Lehman and strong free throw shooting, the Carson girls JV team defeated Reno, 44-37, on Tuesday.

The Senators were 14-for-21 from the line.

Michelle Perry and Bethany Kniffen played well defensively to lead Carson, 1-0 on the year.


Whittell 39, Sierra Lutheran 19

Whittell knocked off Sierra Lutheran in girls varsity basketball action 39-19 on Tuesday.

Leading Sierra Lutheran was Natalie Echeverria with eight points and three rebounds; Sabrina Ronato with six points and two steals; Erin Henry with five rebounds and a steal; Mckinze Tynes with two points, two rebounds and a block. Cali Benton added two points and three rebounds.



RENO - Robby Miller scored 23 points nd Asa Carter added 13 to lead Carson to the win over the Huskies.

Cody Azevedo chipped in 6 for the Senators. Wyatt Williams led Reno with 14.
