PREP: Carson boys fall to Lowry

WINNEMUCCA - Lowry, the defending NIAA 1A state champion, dropped Carson from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 57-44 victory Friday night in the second day of the Winnemucca Tournament at the Winnemucca Events Center.

Carson, 3-1, plays Virgin Valley at 10 a.m. today in its final game of the three-day event.

"They are big up front at 6-7, 6-4 and 6-3, and they come off the bench with a guy who is 6-3," Carson coach Carlos Mendeguia said. "Their height really bothered us; changed our shots throughout the game."
