Another slow start hurts Dayton girls

DAYTON - Incline rolled to a 10-point first-quarter lead en route to a 53-40 win over Dayton in a nonleague girls basketball game Wednesday night.

Dayton opens 1A play Friday at Spring Creek and Saturday at Elko.

"They got us right off the bat," Dayton coach Cliff Serawop said. "They pressed usa lot, but the girls didn't panic, and for the most part, handled it pretty well. We had a few turnovers.

"We cut it to a couple of points late in the second quarter, but they hit a couple of 3-pointers on us. Our rotation wasn't very good. We …
