21,000 Nevadans filed for unemployment in Nov.

Nevadans filed 21,260 initial claims for unemployment benefits in November, a total that’s less than 200 more than the November 2011 count — but the increase marked the second month in a row that such claims went up.“This may be an indication of the end of the downward trend that Nevada experienced as claims fell from their recessionary peak,” said Bill Anderson, chief economist for the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.Anderson said initial claims have declined in eight of the first nine months of this calendar year, but that the pace of declines has been slowing from 2010 and …
