Barbara Jean Stevens passed away on Dec. 9, 2012, at the age of 81. A resident of Carson City for 59-years, she and her husband, Robert, traveled across the country from New York and Pennsylvania to Florida and further to the west, ultimately settling in Nevada. Along with raising 3-children and maintaining a home, Barbara spent the majority of her working career at NDOT, retiring after 30-years of service. Barbara loved life, her children and grandchildren, basketball, music and dancing, and memories of her high school times and friends, all of which brought her smiles and laughter. She tried never …
