Carson High School grad to serve as usher at inauguration

Carson City residents attending the 57th Inaugural Ceremonies to swear in the President of the United States on Jan. 21 may see a familiar face in the crowd.Angelica Cortez Rangel, a 1998 Carson High graduate, will be among military personnel serving as ushers on the Capitol lawn. A petty officer 1st class in the U.S. Navy Reserves, Rangel now lives in San Francisco but traveled to D.C. for the inauguration.“We’re out here now learning the logistics,” she said.
