Senior menus

Note: Lunch menus for the week of Jan. 14 subject to change without notice.

Choice of beverage included.


Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Dr.:

MONDAY: Chili relleno, Spanish rice, zucchini, spiced pears and pudding.

TUESDAY: Lasagna, breadsticks, peas, bananas and sherbet.

WEDNESDAY: Seasoned salmon patty on a bun, lettuce and onion, mixed vegetables and sliced apples.

THURSDAY: Honey apricot chicken, wild long grain rice, green beans and oranges.

FRIDAY: Barbecue ribs, baked beans, ambrosia and poke cake.


Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

MONDAY: Polish sausage, grilled onions and bell peppers, hoagie rolls, potato wedges, garden salad with dressing and apricots.

TUESDAY: Salisbury steak or liver and onions, mashed potatoes, gravy, cauliflower, whole wheat bread with margarine, mixed fruit and cookies.

WEDNESDAY: Beef pot pie with potatoes, peas and carrots, green beans with mushrooms, whole wheat rolls with margarine, mixed fruit and sherbet.

THURSDAY: Cream of broccoli soup, tuna salad, Tater Tots, saltine crackers, whole wheat roll with margarine and peaches.

FRIDAY: Honey apricot chicken, rice pilaf, broccoli with cauliflower and carrots, whole wheat roll, margarine, orange sections, ice cream and cake.


Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane:

MONDAY: Salisbury steak or liver and onions, mashed potatoes and gravy, pea salad, brussels sprouts and cookies.

TUESDAY: Tomato soup, holiday sub with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, baby carrots and bananas.

WEDNESDAY: Sweet and sour pork, brown rice pilaf, cauliflower, whole wheat bread, layered salad and diced pears.

THURSDAY: Pork chops, sauerkraut and sauteed onions, roasted asparagus, pasta salad and cake.

FRIDAY: Chicken Cordon Bleu casserole, marinated vegetables salad, dinner rolls and German chocolate cake.


Storey County Senior Citizens Center, corner of E and Mill streets in

Virginia City:

MONDAY: Tuna noodle casserole and vegetable medley.

TUESDAY: Beef soft tacos, chips and salsa.

WEDNESDAY: Stuffed bell peppers, white rice, veggies and salad.

THURSDAY BREAKFAST 10-11: Pancakes, eggs, bacon and cantaloupe.

FRIDAY: Chili dogs, French fries and salad.


Yerington Senior Center, 117 Tilson Way:

MONDAY: Beef stir fry, white rice, beet salad and oranges.

TUESDAY: Chili dogs, Tater Tots and broccoli salad.

WEDNESDAY: Tilapia, broccoli stuffed potatoes, carrots and beet salad.

THURSDAY: Chicken Cordon Bleu, rice pilaf and vegetable salad.

FRIDAY DINNER 3:30: Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable salad and dinner rolls.
