Family and friends are mourning the death of Noelle Cota, who lost her battle with breast cancer on Jan. 5, 2013. She was born March 13, 1979 in Santa Barbara, Calif. to Cordaleen Cota. When Noelle was ten years old, her mother passed away and she moved to Smith Valley, Nev. to live with her grandparents.
Noelle devoted her life to her two children and her dogs. She was an extremely talented dog handler and trainer. She also taught her children in 4-H proper care and handling of their dogs. She was always willing to help, whether it was to rescue a dog or assist someone who was having a difficult time with their pet.
Noelle is survived by her two sons, Jackson who will be two next month and Sammy, age 12; her grandparents, Victor and Annette Cota; two aunts; an uncle; three cousins; and her fiance, David Green. The "Noelle Cota Fund" has been established for the two children at Greater Nevada Credit Union. The family asks that donations be made to this fund in lieu of flowers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19th at 1 p.m., at the Smith Valley United Methodist Church, 44 Rivers Road, Smith, NV 89430.
