PREP-JC: WNC fails to hit in clutch

The Western Nevada baseball team stranded 10 runners on base in losing to Central Arizona College 3-1 on Saturday in Coolidge, Ariz.

"It was another really good college baseball game," coach DJ Whittemore said of the meeting between top 10 teams. "They have outstanding pitching and our pitchers have been outstanding.

"We had our chances. We stranded six runners in the last three innings."

Conor Harber went 2-for-4 scoring WNC's only run. AJ Hernandez added two hits. Tyler Baker and Donald Glover Jr. each picked up a hit.
